Would someone mind telling me how to play the following notes from a piece of tab I have been working with?

You see the 14,15,14 with the arch above it? Exactly what does that mean?

My guess is it means to hold the first note while playing the second and third, but I think I am way off.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Yep - the musical term is "Legato" and as Ibanex says, on a guitar that heams no picking, use hammer-ons and/or pull-offs.

Ok. Thanks for the info guys. But then if it is a hammer on/pulloff why do I see tab that has the letter H and the letter P for hammer and pulloff?

It seems that not all sites format their tabs quite the same. From what I can tell, the H and P notation originates from the ASCII (or text-based) sites where there is no easy way to represent the arc using standard characters. Since sites like ultimate-guitar are purely text based, we don't seem much of the arc any more.
