There are plenty of guitarists out there that could do the same thing as Buckethead. I'm not trying to go against you here its just that its the truth.

Wow... I did not know that. I guess I'll have to check out some more of his stuff. That's amazing that he hasn't limited himself to one genre like most do, I've only heard his more "metal/shred"ish stuff (for lack of a better word), I'll have to look some more of his stuff up... Good call, I'll give you some tips right now, check them out depending on what you'd like Population override - slow, mellow blues/funk rock straight out of the 1970s Colma - Buckethead wrote this album for his mom so she had something she could listen to when she was in the hospital for a while, it's all acoustic guitars and beautiful. Pepper's Ghost - One of his latest albums, it's a rock record with some great tunes and more diverse than the previous two. He's also releasing 3 new CDs today and I can't wait to check them out. I hope this song is on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9aY2CLrGx4 I can't believe the some person who made the COLMA album, also did the Cuckoo Clocks of Hell album are the same, it's freakin' unbelievable! This guy gets it. |

Not very musical? I cannot think of anyone more musical !! This guy is no one trick pony!!
Not only can he shred clean at a face frying tempo, but the variation in his music is almost unheard of for an artist! He covers anything from metal to blues, rock, fusion, beautifuly haunting acoustic albums etc From the Album "Comla" for Mum https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJud5kqFEDU Check out the equisit phrasing half way through this video "Final Wars" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hxi8sXjDUY A fantastic new untitled song which is essentaial a rock song, really progesses well towards the end https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9aY2CLrGx4 "Padmasana" from the album "Eletric Tears" which i highly recommend https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-2w9b8i7GU And last but not least probably one of the mose awsome versions of Soothsayer, this is shred at its most face frying tempo! Watch out for the slick sweep-tapping when he lets rip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veFLvVMTCBA I hope you enjoy these! And remember, music is a very personal thing so one mans delight is another mans dislike. I try to appreciate all players as there are so many good ones. Its just for me, Buckethead is right up there ! P.S check out those recommendations above! "The Fundimental Difference between Paul Gilbert and Buckethead is that Paul Explores the Good side of the force, while Buckethead Explores the Dark Side of the Force" :) |

Alex Skolnick for example, and I didn't mean people who have done that, i'm saying there are plenty of guitarists who are capable. Yngwie could do anything haha.

Buckethead is the best at playing his music and yngwie is the best at playing his music
I strongly disagree with a claim that someone is the best in a genre. |
