Here is a vid with OLA playing the DIESEL DMOLL. Seems like a bit of a Monster amp smile.gif Anybody played DIEZEL amps? I've only ever heard them online. I live in a big city, but I"ve NEVER seen one at a music store or pawn shop. Must be pretty rare?

It's fantastic for metal! I have never seen one in person but I heard many samples and it's a dream amp for metal. I think that Metallica uses these ones live.

Kirk and James played DIEZELS for three years of touring it looks like. Until recently when Kirk switched to the MEAT HEAD designed by MIKE FORTIN who took the design to RANDALL and it became incorporated in to the new line from RANDALL that made a debut at NAMM.

OLA has reviewed some DIEZEL amps and they sounded spiff but these are really pricey amps. Once it's past 2k, it's hard not to start thinking MESA. smile.gif

I would like to try one of these myself. Very curious smile.gif

You can always offer him some sort of promo (if he has a band or anything similar) by mentioning the band, web site, etc. in your review vid. But if he doesn't care about any of that, bribe him with food and or booze!!! smile.gif

If you do get one of these to try, borrow a bass cabinet from your bass player and run it with a 4x12 and see if you can live without it once it's over. I keep pushing my guitar cab too hard with 7, 8 string fun and blowing out speakers, causing frapping etc. I used to run to a bass combo with an EQ and it was wonderful. If you play detuned, even on a 6 string, you are getting in to frequencies that guitar drivers are not honestly designed for. Also, these high gain amps along with ORANGE and MESA drive soooo much low end that it doesn't all get captured.

Just a thought smile.gif I'm actually looking at adding a 2x12 bass cab to my rig to I can take some of the stress on my 80's vintage Randall cab. I can tell I'm going to destroy it and I love that cab. Does great compressed mids. But zero low bass.
