I was fiddling with Guitar Rig (2) today, and came up with a cunning way of being able to get a track from Guitar Rig to an MP3.
- Enable tapedeck one and two in Guitar Rig - these can be found above the main effects window, near the metronome icon.
- Press the new recording icon on both tape decks
- When you're reading to record, press record on the second tape deck
- Save your recording on the second tapedeck as a .wav file
- Grab a copy of Audacity and the LAME MP3 dll (both free)
- In Audacity, go to project > import audio, and import the audio from your Guitar Rig .wav
- Save the project as an MP3, and away you go!
- Note - if you keep the wave file, you can open it in Guitar Rig at a later date, select a different effect and go through the process again to save it with a different sound, without having to re-record.
