First, let me say it's a true honor to be learning from you. I've been a fan for a while now, and seeing you on here was what made me sign up smile.gif

I've always been a guitarist who (in my area) has been well known for his leads, but the amount of improvement I've already gotten from your rhythm guitar lessons has shown me that I need a lot of work in that aspect. One thing that I never really did was learning other musicians' songs, and with all the tabs on the internet, there are millions to choose from.

My question is: Are there any particular Blind Guardian songs that you have a lot of fun playing? I've already learned "Valhalla" and "The Bard's Song." I'm not really asking for a lesson on them (I know that it's hard to do with publishers), but more of a recommendation on what songs I should try to find online tabs for.

Apart from the BG stuff, are there any other songs that you think would help with Rhythm practice?

Cheers!
Jeff

Nope, just overplayed ;-) And it is great to hear you guys are having fun with some BG songs. If they seem to be too hard in the beginning, just take your time, try to play the tricky parts slow, until you manage to play them, only then speed up. And it might be a good idea to break the songs up into the individual parts, specially with Blind Guardian, our songs tend to have about 300% more parts than most other bands use per song ;-) So go through them one after the other and only put them together in the end, it might make things easier for you. And like this you can really focus on the parts that are giving you a hard time.
