Hi everyone!
Welcome to my first collaboration - 'Groove Phrasing'! In this collab I would like to hear your groovy chops. Take your time and compose a solo (or improvise if you prefer). The main thing you should concentrate on is phrasing. Since it is a groovy beat, the phrases should also sound groovy, or in other words, mostly with dotted note durations. The playing speed is of no relevance, you can play a couple of notes, or advanced, like Greg Howe , you can use any technique you like; - the point is to make it sound right. Here is an example: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/groove...finger-picking/ -The chord progression is: - D minor 7; - C major; - D minor 7; - F major; - G major; - D minor 7. -The key is: D minor; -The time signature is: 4/4; -The tempo is: 100 BPM. If you have any questions, post them here, or PM me if you like. The deadline for submitting is 5 April. For uploading click: HERE Good luck! And, have fun! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Participents: 1. Alex Lewis, 2. Dexxter, 3. Artemus, 4. Ognjen Protic, 5. kaznie_NL This post has been edited by Aleksander Sukovic: Mar 29 2009, 08:24 PM |

Hehe, yeah post #49 here should demonstrate that fact:
https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...40&start=40 I think I shall break the ice and have a go - I like the backing track and since it's begging for chops with the D minor blues scale it would be a challenge for me to come up with licks and grooves that go beyond this and also so that I can focus more on the phrasing to get more grooves and feel rather than shedding up and down a pentatonic |
