Rules
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Jamaica Rock Lesson by Jonathan Burgos
Link to original lesson here Guitar: PRS Swamp Ash Special Amp: Line6 HD 500, Divided by 13 JTR 9/15 Model. Sonar, Sony Vegas, etc. In this lesson, I like the way Jonathan used arpeggios for parts of the melody. Note choices all around are really interesting. I've always liked the reggae beat and this lesson adds a nice melodic, rock lead guitar to make the tune sound unique. The tricky parts were the really fast pentatonic lick and the fast ascending legato run in the middle of the tune. I used a mellower sounding amp model for this, partly just to get a sound that's different from my usual thing. I went ahead and recorded the rhythm guitars as well for extra credit.
