Hey guys and girls!

I just figured something out when I was playing along some drop tuned metal song with guitar pro tabs:

If you can not tune to the tuning of the song (strings not thick enough, no tuner, locking tremolo...) then why not tune the song into your tuning?!?!?

For example: You have your guitar tuned to E standard and want to play an Arch Enemy song that is tuned to C standard (4 HALFSTEPS DOWN!!!) then you must not buy thick strings and set your guitar up, you take the guitar pro tab of this song and select the guitar tracks by clicking on the name of the track (for example *lead* or *Player Name*).

A window will appear that's called track settings, and it will show you how each string is tuned. Select the standard tuning from the scroll down menu and click OK. Guitar pro will now ask if you want to transpond the track, where you select no.
Now change all string instrument tracks the same way into your standard E tuning and don't let guitarpro transpond it!

The whole song is now set to your tuning, of course it is now in a higher key but the fingerings stay the same and you can practice the song!
