Tuning, I really must be slow in my head :)

And I use it through my Vox amp.. so far so good I also use it to tune my guitar. But I cant never get it right though it says its ok. I pick a chord and it sounds nice but when I play lessons here its totally wrong. So I go online and tune it by ear, but still not right.. dunno what it is?? And once again I tune with pocket pod and by a quick look I see the display is showing: Freq 436 one second before the actual tuning display shows.. No wonder it sounds weird So I put it on 440 and whoops.. It sounds perfect when I play along now!
