How Many Variations Of A Power Chord Can You Come Up With?

Its such a simple device, yet the entirety of metal relies on it. So there are definitely variations on how it is played on the guitar, instead of the typical x24xxxx (B power chord) and so on. So how many can you come up with? You can move this shape anywhere on the neck ( take off the open E for anything other than an E chord ) prviding it starts on the A string. You can also get that same basic shape on strings 1 thru 4... [..] When I first started coming here 3 years ago or so that is one of the first lessons I attempted. Probably not a good idea since I was a beginner. Never did get it but it is one of my favorites.
