Hi Here

I have buyed some years ago an €piphone Les Paul studio, ebony, all stock, i play with since years, i have buyed some other axe, but this one always come back in my hand.

So i take the decision to upgrade it:

New Nut
New pickups (seymour Duncan Alnico II Slash)
New pots & caps (CTS & orange drop)
Neck tuning (flatening & curve, frets height etc)
I have spend 6 hours around it, use specialized tool and learn how to tune the neck !

Now the axe is like a brand new for me, play fast, sound like hell, the string action is gone from a good 1,5mm to a little 1mm !

Laurent

Hi Laurent,

Do you think you could share some old records made with the axe in its old version and new records with the upgrade, just to compare?

of course

this is a standart version of the guitar with this preset:

https://soundcloud.com/maxime-bon-3/parrain-nice

and the new pickups, i have done this dirty one, almost the same track

https://soundcloud.com/laurent-377054242/test-parrain

it's not the best preset to fell the difference

Cool mate! Congrats! You have made it even more personal. It will bring lots of inspiration.

I love these pick ups:
