as you have a GT8 have a look at this forum . There's probably a patch on there somewhere (might have to do a search for it and info on how to download it to your GT8. I think he uses Treadplate sound with more compressor on it than gain, and a bit delay/reverb effect.. i came very close to his sound with my POD2

Don't forget the Carvin amps that he uses !! I think he didn't play Carvin at that time tho,maybe I'm wrong. You probably need same gear as he had in studio but his hands and mind too. Joking. There's not so much drive/gain,lot of sustain,bit of reverb and delay... You need humbucker for that as well. -------------------- Youtube

I managed to get a sound pretty close to for the love of god with my PODxt, thanks to Andrew and Marcus for helping me around the thing .
