> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Gert!

This lesson needs a little more work.

The first problem is the unwanted string noises. Look, under the notes we want to let ring, the open strings can make a lot of mess. That's why always keep in mind to use the bottom part of your left index finger, to mute all the strings below the ones you play.
Another advantage of using your left hand finger to mute the strings is the fact that if you accidentally hit an unwanted string with your strumming hand, it will not start to ring.

Vibrato - You were very focused on keeping the timing and you did not notice that you had to play some notes with vibrato.

0:14 -0:18 and 0:30 - 0:34 - at this moment, you are not comfortable yet with this fast picking. There are some timing issues. Also, please try to add a little more force when you pick these notes.

I will not be able to grade your performance because of the sound quality.

Keep on practicing!
