Hi Ivan. I been working on your Level 3 solo recently and decided
to do an early take before Submitting it to REC maybe next week.
I been improvising by playing the same notes on different parts
of the neck - maybe I should stick with one for a better take.
I had the video quality set to low and bad lighting - still the
quality was better before I recorded the background and solo
separately and then did the sync using Windows Movie Maker -
unfortunately I don't have time to start over again today.

Anyway, just thought you might have some advise. I know
the timing is off - some parts I fall behind and other parts
catching up. ON vibrato I know of three styles. 1. Slowly
bend to peak (whole step) and vibrate at peak. 2. Vibrate
to peak and hold note, or move on. 3. Vibrate without bend.
I can not pivot my wrist like you do when bending - but only
slightly, so I rely more on the up and down movement of the
wrist and finger strength. Anyway, any advise is appreciated.

hey man,

I think you did very good, all the notes are there, and the vibrato is good as well. I think your main problem may be the timing here as you said, you should really focus on getting the notes in the right places in the bar. Everything else was pretty much well played.

Coming from some one I consider to be one of the very best
at bends and vibrato, to hear you say my vibrato was good
is a milestone for me - not as good as yours but I will
keep practicing and also try and get those notes in
better time with the bars. Thanks for the advise. smile.gif
