One of the first guitar book that I've got was "Speed Metal" by Dave Celentano which was based on adaptations of classical and baroque music pieces to electric guitar. It was pure fun and a very effective technique workout
I've talked about this book before here: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...showtopic=45594 You can check the contents to find some of the pieces covered. -------------------- My lessons

Tarrega, Villa-Lobos and Brouwer lend themselves well to the texture of the electric guitar.
Bach works well on any instrument. Here's me doing a Leo Brouwer piece, 'Etude # 6'. Not really a shred piece, more chordal (kinda my thing anyway) ... *That's on a Squier, Baritone Jazzmaster. This post has been edited by klasaine: Aug 8 2016, 06:09 PM -------------------- - Ken Lasaine

Pat Travers did Beethoven's 5th Symphony ages ago.
Kinda cheesy but it was actually a bit of a 'hit' record ... This post has been edited by klasaine: Aug 9 2016, 01:55 AM -------------------- - Ken Lasaine
