For the chords I used a lot of triads built around stacked b5ths.
Also harmonized some with chords that replaced the 3rd with 4ths.
Tried to keep it as open as possible for the lead to toy with the major/minor sounds
The guitar used for the rhythm tracks was a 1968 Gibson L5. A Jazz Box.
The bass was actually a Martin Acoustic/Electric drop tuned to C# and then dropped an octave via a Boss GT8.
It a nice dark sounding acoustic anyhow...so it fit the job perfectly.
The Lead tracks were done with a heavily modified Gibson ES150...
Pre 1970s is all that I could determine on this guitar.
But its been mutated into a sassy fusion axe with a bit of tude.
Its an archtop that is part violin...sort of...as it has a violn post installed under the bridge....adds tons of sustain
without losing the tonal aspects. I knew a Gibson Luthier who suggested this mod... Had it done on two guitars I
liked it so well.
The drums were done on a Boss DR-880.
First I recorded the main drum track and added all the guitar parts.
Then manually added in the TOMs via the finger pad that is oh the DR880.
Recorded and Mixed the entire thing on a Korg D3200... Its capable of 32 tracks in 16 bit, I record and mix in 24 bit
so I'm limited to 16 tracks....which seems to work well for me.

as I actually borrowed some ideas from your Modal Pentatonic forms lesson...for some of this.
I've found your lessons to be inspiring.
