Hi Pedja,

A little background informations:

I had 3 years guitar lessons with a personal teacher but we only learned songs and played them together. So the teacher taught me how to play songs and some basic chords. 2007 i joined GMC and since this point i practice various lessons wit some improvments as a result. So all in all i would say that i play guitar for 4 years but with some breaks. (had to go to the german army for one year, no time for playing there).

Music that i like:

nearly all kind of Metal music (Metallica,, Protest the Hero!, Slayer, Down, Kreator, Opeth, Helloween, Edguy, Black Sabbath and many more)
Blues
Hard Rock
lovely Rock Ballads to impress girls cool.gif laugh.gif
Instrumental music like FVai, Timmons, Satriani, Gilbert

Influences:

(it's hard to write influences because i don't think my playing abillity at the moment is not at a level where i can reach any of these guys i list here)

James Hetfield (Rhythm)
Joe Satriani
Andy Timmons ( I was blewn away by his playing at the MEinl guitar festival)
KIrk Hammet
Eric Clapton
and many more

Favourite songs:

Metallica - Master of puppets
Metallica - Fade to black (the first solo is cool)
Down - Bury me in Smoke
Protest the Hero - The Divine Suicide of K.
Andy Timmons - Gone, Cry for you
Joe Satriani- Starry Night

Goals:

better Bending and vibrato
become a better rhythm guitarist, that i am able to write catchy Metal riffs.
Theory!! (maybe start from the very first basics would be a good idea and see how much i know at the moment)
fix some Posture mistakes (this is something i really get frustrated. I hate my pinky. more details follow when the program starts it's to long too explain it her without a video)
better Phrasing to sound more musical.
Ear training smile.gif

wow many goals smile.gif

What i learned so far:

I can play 4 notes per beat at 120 bpm most of the time clean (this lesson here: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...nate-picking1/)
I can play the Fade to black Solo, first and second solo from Welcome Home Sanatarium (Metallica), Enter Sandman solo (not that good), beginning of Joe Satriani- Starry Night and Crying
I can sweep at 50 bpm 6 notes per beat.

Biggest problem in the past was that i learned a lesson here and i was able to play it but i didn't get any other benefit from it. Hard to explain but i can't use it for my own musical ideas and i always had the feeling im not creative. That fact is becoming better and better now because i joined two collabs and gained a lot of experience.

So that's it for the moment smile.gif

Cheers

Roman

Perfect Roman!

Very clear and precise CV smile.gif Regarding your last note on creativity, let me just say that once we put theory and harmony to use, everything will start to click. Lessons that you learn will become more obvious and things will be much easier to analyze. When we are able to analyze and know whats happening at any given moment in music, then we can for sure compose something in the similar style but add our own flavor to it.
Cool influences and goals, lets keep our fingers crossed (as with everybody) and hope for the best ! smile.gif
