Hey all at GMC! After having a quick look round, I just had to join- the accumulation of talent on this one site is spectacular. Special thanks go to Muris for finally luring me in with his neoclassical alternate picking excercise biggrin.gif

I am FAR too reliant on economy picking, my alternate picking is terrible- so I will learn that if it kills me (and it probably will, by the looks of things tongue.gif ) To be honest, that level of playing is so far above mine I can barely see it though the clouds, but i'll start off slowly, see how i get on.

A little bit about me- I'm 22, from Yorkshire, England, and have been playing the guitar for around 5 years now. I hope to get good enough in the next couple of years to teach (working through exams now), so I can do that enough to make a living, and be able to stay at home and write the rest of the time (my other passion).

Well, I don't want to bore anyone too much, so I'll get off. Nice to meet you all, I hope to be around a while smile.gif

Matt x

...you will have taken your very first steps towards Johnson land...

Guitars: Epiphone Les Paul Standard (Modified), Yamaha Pacifica (Black; modified with different humbuckers and a few other things)

Equipment: Vox DA5 Digital Amp (It's a little weak, but fun nonetheless), Line 6 Pod X3 Live

Wishlist: An Ibanez RG Model, and a yummy Pavel and Andrew Cockburn JEM.. Mmmm. I'd also love a Marshall Stack. That'd be awesome. :D
