Jamest -- Diminished 7 Workout, Part 2, Lesson by Muris Varajic |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Diminished 7 Workout, Part 2
Link to original lesson: here Guitar: PRS Swamp Ash Special Amp: Guitar Rig 3 LE, Lead 800 Preset (Marshall JCM 800 Amp Model) Sonar, Sony Vegas, etc. Not sure if I'm ready to improvize with harmonic minor scales, but this lesson was a good introduction to them. Changing keys four times makes it quite an experience for learning the intervals of the harmonic minor scale as well as where they fall on the fret board. The diminished 7 chord also has some unique properties. Specifically that its triad consists of stacked minor thirds. Each inversion of this chord yeilds another diminished 7 chord in for a different key. This makes it uniquely suitable for the kind of key changes seen here in this lesson. Invert the chord and bam, you're playing in a new key. This post has been edited by skennington: Apr 26 2011, 03:33 PM |
