Well it really all depends.
One thing that i cant stand is when a pick gets a little groove, nick or chip in it .That causes weird and messed up picking so when i have one like that i just put it aside and save it just incase i have nothing else left to use.Alot of times i will use those picks to do techniques like pick scrapes and tapping cause imo there already ruined andi never use a good brand new pick for those tech.
If it isnt for reasons listed above then i can use them for a really long time.I dont ever throw away picks unless there just completly no use left. One of my buddies always breaks them
That doesnt make sense to me?I dont know how he does it cause i may have broke 1 pick in my 11 years playing. If i had my way though i would use a new pick every day.It great to get that brand new pick and start using it,feels great on your finger's and just sounds smooth, but i just cant go buy picks every day so i make do with what i have
