Post Rock, Lesson By Gabriel Leopardi |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Post Rock by Gabriel Leopardi
My version of GMC Post Rock lesson by Gabriel Leopardi. I tried to mix it up by utilizing different guitars and changing up the tone. I am still learning and loving every minute. I always add a little bit of me when I am playing. My fingering will be slightly different, along with my picking. I also used a different version of the power chords at the end when playing the bass notes. Thank You Gabe for the lesson. -------------------- Ken (a.k.a. starman4) sends...............................keep making music.

Hey! It's great to find this lesson here!
The main goal of this lesson is to get into this type of composition and arranging based on creating layers and textures. By playing this stuff you feel how the different guitars connect together and build the whole thing. I strongly recommend you to analyze a bit what's playing each guitar in order to get the most of this one. Regarding technique and mix, I think that Ben shared interesting tips to have in mind for the next take. There is nothing to add about it. Keep on the good job! -------------------- My lessons
