Iv'e been practicing alt picking 1 on and off, and this week I decided that I have to go back to scratch and start it over as well as alt picking 4, so, behold my picking suckiness, not only is this only first small chunks of the exercisez, It's at a very slow speed(alt picking 1 at 70 bpm, alt picking 4 at 50 bpm), and I STILL made mistakes in this recording!
one note though, I don't ussualy make so many mistakes during practice, maybe I got nerovous of the recording.

Give me pointers man!

Oh nice job on davids lesson. I was practing a vibrato lesson the other day (i think its called vibrato 1).

That might interest you also.

About your alt picking. Youve found a right lesson to improve speed. I started on like 60 BPM and them in a few days jumped to 80 then 120 and now i think its 160.

And i cant play alt picking 4 cause my fingers cant hit the high frets precisely and i get muted notes (do you have suggestions on this one pavel?)

I have one more advice. Strangely when i used a thicker and lager pick (those .75 triangle ones) i could pick lead faster.

smile.gif I actually use a thick pick, a hard pick, don't think it gets thicker than that!

I think I just need to keep on practicing it very slowly while paying attention to my picking rather then my fretting.

And thanks! but I don't think I did such a good job on David's lesson heheh.. Still got alot of things to improve there.

Illuha - keep practicing that! Now you know how hard it is to record - get mistakes straight away wink.gif And imagine recording video lessons wink.gif

jammer91: high frets are pain in the ass and require high accuracy so it's just a matter of time and practice.
