Hi all,

I am a newbie, and am learning to play a guitar.

One of my all time favorite bands are the eagles, so consequently i purchased a Takamine TSF48C which thus far I love ( even though I cant really utilize its potential yet .

When I got to learn of this site, i soon realised that there are far more types of music I would like to play that I am not sure my Guitar will allow me to achieve.

So I would like to buy a classical, and a electric, so that I can learn rock songs, as well as flaminco/classical type music.

Could someone here please be so kind as to suggest what would be great value for money in BOTH these categories?
As I am NOT made of money, and my wife (management) would not be too thrilled at me spending what she deems excessive amounts on 2 more guitars , when in her eyes I have already spent waaaay to much on my Takamine! lol

You know, getting an electric and a classical second hand would be very cheap and beneficial if you want to learn a wide variety of things.

a used classical guitar will probably only set you back 50 USD, an electric w/ an amp will maybe be 200 USD.

this will be far from "performance" quality, but these instruments will give you room to grow.

that being said, I play flamenco on both my acoustic and my electric.

Since you already have the Takamine there really is not a need to buy a classical guitar unless you can afford it right now. You can still learn classical on that for now and use what funds you have to buy a decent electric nice & little combo amp.

Depending on where you live and how patient you are (shop around) you'll be surprised you can find all kinds of deals are to be had
