Allegedly, he could play just as well with a right hand guitar flipped onto left hand position, but with strings not reversed. I read a quote by eric clapton somewhere where he said he came for a jam but didn't have a guitar, so he borrowed one of claptons and just played it with the strings the wrong way round and was just as good. Can't remember where I read it though, so I might have imagined it.

They didn't manufacture left-handed instruments back then!!! Clapton brought the first one over here to give to Jimi at a show at the Albert Hall but they never managed to meet up and Clapton kept that LH Strat all these years and sold it for Charity a couple of years back!

White Strat, Maple Neck, White Scratchplate????

I actually changed the white pickguard for a white pearl one, and now it looks a bit more like Steve Vai's JEM signature Ibanez, but in Fender Stratocaster version ! Dave Murray of Iron Maiden sometimes plays on something like that smile.gif
