Micro Spider!

A battery powered Spider III with a Tuner + Acoustic model. Has EQ. price looks to be $140 right now (subject to change).

Micro Cube RX!

(Bass Version!)

A huge overhaul of the popular Roland Micro Cube. now includes stereo sound through 4 speakers, 8 amp models, 6 effects, a tuner, and (!!) a rhythm section with 11 drum loops / meteronome stuff. price looks to be around $229 (subject to change).

these both looks like GREAT starter amps / portable practice amps. perfect for the bedroom. i own the old micro cube right now, it sits in my computer desk as my amp to use when learning on GMC!! the rhythm section on the Micro Cube RX series is a great addition. your thoughts?

What did you learn tonight?
while shouting so loud, you barely joyous, broken thing.
You are a voice that never sings, is what i say.
You are freezing over hell
You are bringing on that end you do so well
and you can only blame yourself, is what is say.

Its nice for fooling around, but thats all. Not much of a sound in it. Personally, i practice without an amp most of the time, and when I plug it in I want a big sound right away, not a "small" sound. Maybe it's useful for some situations, but not for me. If it is for recording or something, that I suggest some type of interface or preamp at least for recording, because the speaker is just too small to be good on these babies.

Yeah,I believe these small Line6s wouldn't give you solid tone.

Speaking of speakers,I played veeery small Gallien&Krueger amp(size of old tape recorders),
2x8 inch speakers, soo much lows and power, hard to believe blink.gif

i have a roland micrcube. not the RX. i love it. it was cheap. good tone. gets loud for just a small practice amp. some good effects on it as well. i use it for headphones. sounds nice. but its nothing more then a practice amp.

I think it's good when you start playing guitar or when you need something to pratice anywhere... you remind me when I was 16 and I may carry my amp and guitar to my friend's house if I want to play with other guys !! hehehe, we spend all day playing Iron Maiden's songs biggrin.gif
