Collabing all the way from IRAN is my buddy Hamin. We met on soundcloud. God bless the interwebs!! Not even repressive regimes can stop Metal!!!!! Here is my solo section that I"m contributing to his most recent tune. Let me know what you think smile.gif the guitar noise after I stop playing is actually part of the backing. It's got bits of noise and other industrial wastey bits as thematic elements. I didn't know they had guys who wanted to DJENT in IRAN but they do!!!

My tone is semi synthetic and fxy to go with the djenty smile.gif Using TH3 to full effect.

That's great Todd! It's cool to see you experimenting with this kind of djenty sounds. You sounds very modern on this one.

It's impressing to see how internet allows us to do collaborations like this with players that live so far away. This is not anything new, it's been happening for some years but I'm still amazed of the possibility.

Thanks for taking the time to listen smile.gif I always try to respond to student posts when they put up a new bit of their playing, but it doesn't seem to work the other way around for some reason? The only response has been from another instructor. Still I do appreciate you taking the time to give this a listen and tell me what you think about it smile.gif I was going for a very modern djenty sound so I"m glad it comes off that way. I listened to a bunch of djenty bands to try to get a sense of what is expected in the form and then push it a little.

My tone is almost synthetic sounding and is packed with fx which seems traditional in the form. smile.gif

You are of course right that collabing like this is nothing new, but it's still really cool that the web allows us to make music with people half the world away smile.gif You and I and the other students here are a good example! We are collabing with you all the way from Argentina with folks in Europe and the states!

Here is the artwork for the song with Hamin. It's called PARALLEL MULTIVERSE! It's going to be released this Friday.

It's got a pinch of BENS "Galactic" theme to it wink.gif

Thanks! I was trying to emulate a Modern Djent tone. I've got an Octaver and a harmonizer in there smile.gif I'm using OVERLOUD TH3 for the tones and it's AMAZING! Love that thing.

I'm in total agreement on the interwebs. It's just amazing how it can bring us all together. This guy had been following me for years on Soundcloud.com and was a fan of my work. I saw one of his tracks and clicked on it for it's pretty cover art. Loved the track then contacted him about a collab! I was shocked when he knew who I was! He said "i've know about you for years". I was like "really? All the way in Iran?"

You just never know who is listening to your stuff on the internet! smile.gif Share often.

Cool tone Sarge! Though I've only heard Tosin Abasi in this genre, here the melodies sound pretty grand, and I liked the solo's intro bend. The artwork also looks awesome, reminded me of the Avengers movie which just came out biggrin.gif

Thanks Much!! Tosin Abasi is the Man!!! He went to school here in Atlanta at the Atlanta Institute of Music. Small world eh?
Glad you like the melodies smile.gif I added a harmonizer to the lead guitar to add some melody in to the tune so that it would contrast with the dissonant parts. smile.gif I did all the solo work on this so thanks much!!!! I'll send it to Marvel and see what they think smile.gif Thanks for checking it out!

Todd
