Guide To Writing Death Metal

Death Metal, like Black Metal, has begun to choke on it's own orthodoxy. In other words the form has become so restrictive in terms of rules that define what is and isn't death metal, that the entire genre has a degree of stagnation IMHO. That's part of what makes this vid funny. Sadly, the track he makes NAILS IT and sounds like Death Metal as you'd expect it to sound. It's ironic that forms of music that began as a rebellion against orthodoxy / tradition / etc. have become so bound by unspoken rules. Here is the vid, what do you guys think?
