Hi Gab

Thank you

It is difficult to be expressive, it is one of my weak points. I know that.
I hope that I shall be more in the coming years.

Yes, it can be worked, as any other thing in guitar. Put some focus on it each day and you'll see improvements.

What are your next plans?

Hi Gab

My next plan : Jazz Funk Licks

Last year I learnt Jazz Funk Licks II. I had not seen the lesson N°1
I like very much this music, I work this one since 5 days.

Here is a take 80 % speed

Hi MisterM! This lesson is great! I've learnt it in the past because I love all those licks. I think that you'll be mastering this one very soon. I don't note any issues at this tempo. Keep on the good job!

Hi Gab

I'm Happy to see my grade about Blues lines.

I continue my job about Funk Jazz licks.
100% is slightly too fast on some sections.

For a moment I play 90%...
New take maybe this week-end

Hi Gab,

New Take 90%
I feels it better day after day.
Sometimes I play is 100 % but it is less comfortable.
The last sweep section isn't still really clean

That you think about the tone ?
I think Delay and reverb are slightly too present...

Also, I continue my work about others hard lessons but my next objective will be this lesson

Hi MisterM!

This take is very precise and your tone sounds good to me. The only thing that I have to comment is the same that I've commented on the previous lesson worked. I feel that you need to relax more when playing, you look a bit tense, and it makes the take lack "feeling". Why don't you try a more expressive take, no matter if it becomes less clean and precise? Just as an experiment...

Hi Gab,

I still work to play it correctly to 100%
Maybe in some times, I shall be less nervous.

I am concentrated on the lesson, it asks for a lot of work.
At present, I can't think of a meaning version

Have a nice day

That's ok MisterM. And it's not a small thing. You are doing a GREAT job here at the mentoring program and REC. I keep repeating that because it's the only thing that I feel can be improved, the other elements are great. Congrats!

Hello Gab,

I didn't post a video for some time, but I continue my work,
Whenever possible, 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening
I have a lot of pleasure at the moment and I think that it is a good routine

Jazz Funk Licks,
It is soon ready, maybe in 1 or 2 weeks.

Triplet Etude
I can play the intro is 100 % on the backingtrack without guitar.
I understand accents, I progressed on this point.

On the fast part, I can play 90 % speed
I feel to have gained the muscular relaxation, it is much easier.
I have some work, I think of 5/6 weeks maybe more.

Also, I work my arpeggios, legato and A/P with varied exercises.

For 15 days, I learn "LAGRANGE" by ZZTOP
I didn't understand accents on some section
Everyday I overcome the obstacles,
I found this lesson on youtube, it helps me a lot,

Hu Gab

I made an audio Jazz Funk Licks to 100% speed
I try to play more slowly, it's hard to play after the beat.

What do you think about it ?

Nice! There are some licks to adjust but the overall is sounding very good! I can see you mastering this one very soon. It's just a matter of days of practice.

Then, I would dedicate some time to improvise creating variations of those licks.

Hi MisterM! This is awesome!! I thought that I was listening to the original lesson.

The tone is exactly as the one used by Stephane, and your playing is also great! I think that there is some room to play this even more relaxed but this sound VERY good. Your did an amazing job man. Congratulations!!

Hi mate, good job!

Yes, you can go for REC with this one. I think that the video's volume is a bit low but the mix is balanced. I'll grade it there.
