That was pretty nice man. A few little pitchy things here and their but all-in all pretty good improv. I really liked the ending lick that started around 2:25.

VH is one of my favorite bands ever and it is nice to hear someone at GMC trying to take a crack at doing a improv.

Please share where you found the backing track biggrin.gif

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

I listened 3 times. Which speaks for itself. If it sucked, Iwould not have made it 10 seconds though one listen. Not that I could not criticize some things. For example, while the tapping kept up, it did not have that special quality I look for in tapping, you need to work on your accenting. Not easy to do at that speed. But if I listened 3 times, I must have thought it was pretty decent for the most part.

haha glad you like my tone. i'm using a PODX3 live so really all i did to get that sound was load the marcus levandell solo tone and combine it with the eruption preset and then i turned off the phaser. so its just a dual tone made up of marcus levandell+eruption
