Most people in here will tell you it is with the metronome where we all grow the most. It can be boring sometimes but I myself know it is working so I keep doing it, for hours. Break the speed solos into groups of notes and slow them down to a speed you can play perfectly with the metronome and then increase the speed a little every few days. Don't feel bad if you have trouble getting your speed up because it is all part of the process.

Have you tried the speed picking lessons on GMC?
And yes, metronome is great, and yes it also might be boring after a while, but I have a little trick that makes it fun! tongue.gif First I learn, for instance, a speed picking pattern, like the stuff in the GMC speed picking lessons, then I put on the metronome, slow first of course and then I watch TV or south park/family guy while playing, and then I just increase the speed when I feel comfortable with the current metronome speed. Watching series/tv while practicing makes it fun tongue.gif http://www.southparkzone.com/ theres some entertainment for a while tongue.gif

good luck

yeah its a great website! smile.gif I recommend Family guy, its 100 times better than south park, and a bit less "childish", south park is totally awesome aswell though tongue.gif but you need torrent for that, unless there is a similar website for family guy. http://www.torrentreactor.net/view.php?id=520954 This is family guy seasons 1-5 and a family guy movie. I think downloading TV series is illegal in some countrys, apperantly its legal in norway.
anyway, great that you liked the idea. its making boring lessons fun! laugh.gif

edit: the link I gave was only seasons 4 and 5, I'll check if I find all the seasons later if anyone is interested.

Hmm 29$ isnt much for 3 months smile.gif If its bank safety they are worried about just make a www.paypal.com account. You simply transfer money from your bank account to your paypal account. 100% safe and then you pay GMC with your paypal account.
