You don't have to play them fast!
A good way to start is to start practicing them very slow and try to build up the speed! Or you can keep them slow and turn them in to your own licks! The good thing about those exercises is that they will fit any style of music and you can use them in any key!
Those are the basic licks but they are very useful!!!
I also wanted you to practice different pentatonics using the backing track!
You can play:
A minor blues pentatonicB minor blues pentatonicE minor blues pentatonicHere is a very good exercise you can do!!!
Take all three pentatonics and try to create your own licks by combining them!
