Does anyone ever try EVH 5150 III 50W or 100W? It seems it is good for metal after I watch some review from youtube. What do you think? |

I have never tried it but I think that the guitar player of this Argentinean band is using one of those and the tone that he gets for modern metal is killer....

The EH 5150III is a very dynamic amp in either the 50W or 100W package. No boost needed (although if you do use one it does add alot of character and attack as any boost would).

The 5150 is an incredible amp. Most people love it not just because of how it sounds, but the clarity is unreal! It's the standard in metal music these days, and you can hear one on hundreds of metal albums that have come out in the past two years.
This whole video he's plugged into a 5150 2x12 combo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nB3qheZOeUM Here's another great one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLFqtktdG1s This post has been edited by ConnorGilks: Dec 28 2012, 04:21 AM |
