(pass, 8.2) Take 2: Bend And Slide Exercises For Beginners, Lesson By Laszlo Boross |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Very good job, very decent timing (only couple of notes were off), and great job with the bending and vibrato, you are on the right track. There are some things you can upgrade, your vibrato is OK, you need to work a bit more on bended vibrato, and your bending is pretty correctly in pitch, but you need to make it more precise, and swifter. Also, your release from the bend is too slow, definitely work on that. You need to release on exactly the right note, you often land on higher pitch then originally fretted.
On a side: try to adjust intonation on your guitar better, specially on the G string, and tune the strings better. -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

Good take man! There are some little timing issues to improve in this one. Try to practice the song over the original one to follow Laszlo's timing while you are playing. The bends sound good, some of them are a bit insecure but this will be fixed with some more practice. You vibrato sounds good and the tone is also good but compared with the original is more trebbly and with less sustain. Well done!

Original lesson: Bend And Slide Exercises For Beginners by Laszlo Boross 2nd attempt Links to previous attempts at this lesson: http://guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/...showtopic=42355 Sounds good! A few thing you can work on: Your bending and vibrato is a little bit off sometimes try to practice it with metronome! Also it feels like you are not 100% secure about what you are playing and you are afraid to make a mistake I think more you will practice better it will get! -------------------- |
