Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi mate!

Good job with this tricky but great sounding lesson. You can play the whole thing at tempo and very close to the original. I think that there are just a little small details to adjust to make this one sound flawless.

I note that sometimes it's not totally smooth, or clear. You play some chords more muted, had little timing issues or things like that. Licks like the one at 00:35 could sound more consistent. So more days or practice will be good to make this sound perfect.

Also, there is a wrong note at 00:22 but I think that it was just a one time error.

The lesson is very demanding and you are playing it really well, congrats.

Hi Peter.. this is a cool lesson with a lot of different and demanding stuff going on.

There are two main areas where you could improve your performance of this piece:

Timing - you often rush the timing a bit which disturbs the groove

Clarity - as Gabriel said, some of the chords do not sound as full as they should and sometimes only a root note comes through rather than the whole chord. This can be either because you're muting too much but, I suspect, mainly due to your pick just not hitting the required strings. I can be guilty of this sometimes, if I don't play enough rhythm wink.gif

Interestingly, you do a smoother job of the lead segments of the piece rather than the chord progressions.

Hey Peter!

As usuall - very nice performance with just a few details to fix. Same as guys I haven't noticed anything aside little timing and clarity issues. I guess that the wrong note was just a mistake on that particular take due to huge focus on being precise. I think I would go for slightly brigther tone to make those muted notes cut through the mix (they tend to get lost at the moment) and bring out that crunch vibe delivered by Fayeed in his original video smile.gif
