Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

This is my take of

Jumping Around - Beginner
Pop Rock Lesson, by Muris Varajic

{
Ibanez RG270
POD 2.0
Ableton Live 7.0.16
}

This lesson completely broke my life. I had to make about 200 takes before I got this one. I lost my girlfriend because she turned completely crazy of hearing that song every evening. My cat committed suicide by jumping through the window. I lost my job and got H1N1 during a travel to Tibet where I tried to find a new way to manage my stress by giving my devotion to Buddha.

Finally, after 6 months with some Amazonian tribes in South America trying some plants with soul, I came back to Switzerland and was able to record the take.

Now my life is much better. I found a new job, bought some new picks. I also ordered some Steel Wool Grade 0000 to clean my guitar and my LinkedIn and Facebook total number of friends increased by almost 3.

(please notice how angreen my t-shirt is...)

Yeah, your t-shirt is pretty green wink.gif Nice take, you could try to play it a bit more legato, like this it sounds a bit tensed, as if you would constantly be focusing on what is coming next.

Not bad. Vibrato could be wider. You need a bit more control on a faster bits but that will come with time. Good take

Good work although there are things to work on here. Your vibrato needs to be more aggressive (watch how Muris does it in original lesson). Your bending also needs work as sometimes it is not 100% in tune (you are either slightly sharp or flat in relation to original note). I think your guitar tuning was a bit off as well, but it might be that your guitar intonation needs check up after 12th fret. All in all, good work, it is worth passing but I think you can definitely do it better smile.gif
