I really needed a compact and fairly inexpensive way to record drums to jam along with. I researched a lot of different software programs, lots of drum machines. I came across this little recorder from BOSS.

I was just curious if anyone had any experience with it, it seems like a great product. Multi-track recording, and built in drum machine. You can even put an effect on your guitar to make it sound like a bass guitar, so now I don't have to buy a bass.

So I'd appreciate any other suggestions for gear people have, or any comments or experiences with this particular product.

Thanks!

Haven't used one but have a look at this link Harmony central br600 reviews. Seems ok.

I use Roland and Boss kit quite a lot and have never had a problem (touch wood). If it's anything like what I use then it should be good value. However, if you can try one out in a shop before committing yourself.

Cheers,
Tony

I've seen that advertised in quite a few guitar magazines and they have said that it's pretty good. Since then i've looked on the internet for reviews on it and there seems to be quite a few good reviews. I was thinking perhaps in the future i might buy one but haven't used one myself yet.

My friend has the BR-1600 and its awesome, although a little pricey. Great quality sound though. Sounds proffesional, works for singing as well.

I have been looking into this model also, sells for around $390.00 US. All of the reviews I have read have been really good. I am going to try and get to guitar center this weekend to check it out.
