I'm not sure if we already have this feature here (I haven't found it though).

Would it be possible to sort lessons by instructors?
Let's say I really like Pavels playing (which I do, btw smile.gif) and I want to see of all his lessons. What if there was a button on his lessons that said: "check out Pavels other lessons" or something like that, and if I click that button I come to a page where all of them are listed?

It's just an idea I got, but what do you guys think?

Yes, a lot of times you know whoe the lesson is by but can;t find the section or exact lesson, this would be great.

I know Henrik is working on a search function for the lessons, so I would expect that it could be done by entering Pavels name in a form somewhere. Once you have that in place though it would be very easy to add a "Search for Pavel's Other Lessons" button. And of courese a "Search for Marcus' other lessons" button smile.gif

Hey Markus! I think that this is a great idea and what Andrew said would be a fine solution too.

Gabriel.-

Yes it's definately a great idea - and it's also on its way. I visited Henrik and we discussed the new structure of the site for a whole day - this is one of the ways we will sort the lessons.

As it is now - we are approaching CHAOS structure-wise with all the updates. After the summer we should have a completely new look/structure of the site! biggrin.gif

Hi all

I agree there, I think it would be a great addition to add and as the site is growing it would be an absolute necessity I reckon.

For example, I couldn't find a lesson last week I wanted to look up (I had made a mental note of it to check later) but I couldn't find it. Pavel had mentioned it I think, so I wrote to him and he gave me the URL - cheers P.

Also I made a note of this post on the forum yesterday and was going to mention it to Kris:

Hey, I am pretty internet savvy, but now that you have removed blues lesson 2 from the main page how do I easily navigate to blues lesson 1 and 2? I love the site but I have a hard time finding things once I have seen them and want to go back to it. Am I missing some kind of site map somewhere?

So I think it's a bit of a must at this stage already and we can all see the future here smile.gif.

D

p.s. that's a healthy visitor number you have there Kris well done! The site deserves it!

Yes I agree the content is chaotic...if it was up to me I would have fixed it months ago unfortunately I don't have the mysql and php knowedge so I need to to coordinate this kind of restructurig between different web developpers...

The good news is however we have almost done half of the restructuring job. Also - all instructors will have their own presnetation pages etc - so lots of cool features are on their way... smile.gif
