A friend of mine pointed me towards these:

You can design these guitars by yourself and then print it via 3D printing...sort of

They aren't cheap ( $3000 ) but according to the manufacturer you get something different, which is hard to argue with.

I thought this was interesting because it showcases a possible future path of guitar building, and it is actually even possible to do parts of the process with 3D printing today.
