A Weird Idea I Had Today

After talking to a friend about it we started talking about 7 string guitars... and then it hit me I'm not a fan of using 7 strings in metal (the B is too much for me), but I wondered how it would sound if I had a guitar with 2 low E strings. Would that make the muted e string sound chunkier/heavier, or would I need a different note than E to get that sound?
