Folks are moving toward power amps again after moving toward tube amps for quite a while. A bit back, a company that started off making P.A. amps (Matrix Amplification) started making rack mount amps for guitar rigs and then all the sudden, seemed like everyone had one with their axe fx/kemper (GT800FX power amp). Then we started seeing very small power amps that fit on a pedal board. Like the Duncan Power Stage and Hotone Loudster. This orange amp is along that line. It's small, but not quite, fits on your pedal board small. Still, pop it in your rack and your good to go. Runs about $400 from the sound of things. Here is the andertons review.] P.S. Watch the ending with the powered kemper. I was SHOCKED at how bad the orange amp seemed to sound compared to the built in power amp in the kemper. I mean UGGHH. Can you guys hear that? But to reach to a wider customer base they implemented the tube and clean amp eq...I'm not totally against that but calling that a modeller is too much of a stretch. Won't djent so I have nno use for it Todd The ir and poweramp sim. is dsp! Simplified Torpido software+expandable if wanted. Till there I'll give 5 stars but the other additions I'm not sure of. Current Audient soundcards get rave reviews (JFET input for guitar, burrbrown converters...) but I can't recommend it to friends yet as I haven't got any experience with them.
