Whenever you hear anyone play and do it well. They've earned. You can't really fake being good. It doesn't take a great musician to recognize someone faking it badly. So stay focused on the goal and try to enjoy the journey as much as you can. Once you reach a spot where you are happier with your playing, it's something nobody can ever take from you. And something you can really be proud of. You can't buy it, can't steal it, can't lie/beg/borrow to get it, you have to earn it. Practice! It's rare to see him so honest and candid and everything he says is true. You gotta follow your vision no matter if others understand it or not.
