Hi guys.

When recording I just plug my device (pod right now, but trying to get an FX standard/ultra) and use it as a soundcard and record in reaper.
Well this works well for me and is surely a good method.

But how do the pros do? When recording serious stuff I might do it in a studio a friend has, but I would still like to know
They surely use more extrenal stuff like mixers and stuff.

But software, input, plug to computer-whise what would be better more "pro" than the methode I use now?
I actually got a free mac from school, but I just prefer my PC, but is mac better for receording? I didnt like garageband
