ive never used the boss so i have no idea how to help you. it does sound as if the recording is clipping though.
kaznie, its totally up to you. its your slot, feel free t do with it what you wish  i would suggest redoing it so that you sound all of the notes though, but there is a plus side to leaving it as it is... you can come back in a month or two and listen to the recording youve just done and then solo over the same backing track ive provided and it'll show you how much youve improved. i noticed you posted a topic asking for help with improvisation for this collab and im glad to see your putting so much effort into it

me too, im having a few timing problems but with a bit more effort it should be well mixed ready for the next few ppl's recordings

ok, if you REALLY cant record then aslong as your solo is in time, i'll put it where i think it sounds best.
if you could get a backing track though that would be good. i start uni again tommorow aswell so i wont be able to do the mixing for a few days so you have a few extra days to submit your stuff
