Is this the best ever Gibson guitar getting re-released? The combination of tone woods and the P90 with bridge hum bucker are giving me sweaty palms!
doubtful many will make their way across the pond of course! You lucky americans!

I wonder why they changed the inlays. Looks like a solid instrument with great features, just a little surprised at the fretboard.

Isn't it just like the "Les Paul" BFG model? Tried that one out and I was far from impressed..

No mate, its a reissue of the original nighthawk, they did a few versions with various pickup combinations and a semi hollow called the blueshawk. Unlike the BFG they have the maple/mahogany combination but are a lot lighter than Les Paul's with a lot of the tone. Also the BFG is built to look unfinished, this will be proper gibson quality (Such as it is these days!)

Ahh, this one always had those inlays. I guess I was only ever noticing the big block inlays from the other gibson models.

Best LP maybe but for best Gibson - my vote would go to a Byrdland or a 400 CES or even a '63 335.

If I were after an LP I think I'd be tempted by one of these!!!
