... Wonderful Slippery Thing, Guthrie had that crazy 2 handed run after chorus riff, raised his hand after it and went like " YEAH!!" I love the double stops and triads in it - very Wes Montgomery and very cool - great phrasing. -------------------- Get your music professionally mastered by anl AES registered Mastering Engineer. Been watching alot of his videos.
Ive come to the conclusion he is too good, if he gets better, he might create a black hole around himself |

I think that Guthrie Govan is the best guitarist on the planet right now. i cannot think of anyone that could possibly be his equal. Technique, phrasing, creativity, it's all there. here is a link to him sounding like many other famous guitarists.

Ah Mr. G! One of my top three guitarists. I can never get enough of this genius. I'd love to get to one of his clinics someday

Guthrie is by far the most versatile guitarist I've ever heard. And I've also heard that he is working on a new album, I'm sure it's going to be as equally mindblowing as Erotic Cakes.
For those of you who are a big guthrie fan like me, check this forum: http://www.online-discussion.com/GuthrieGovan/ AND LOOK AT THIS! this guy i either a master at transcribing music, or he has the actual waves sheets This post has been edited by Patrik Jezierski: Apr 1 2009, 07:04 PM |
