By running scales intervals I mean for example going up in 4ths
A,B,C#,D,B,C#,D,E,C#,D,E,F#,D,E,F#,G# etc The tricky bit (as always) is the fingering and position shift bits on the G to B string. Have we a lesson on this or can some one post up their preferences, this is where I always either slow down or mess up, because I'm not using a consistent way. -------------------- My SoundCloud

Awesome, I'm really trying to look at where my problems are stemming from and this is one place I've noticed

ah - I've been practicing this pattern as well, and yes - the fingering between the B and G string is tricky. It seems there are 2 ways to use the ring and little finger on the crucial pivot to the next group - either use the 3th finger on the B string and 4th on the G string, or vice versa. I personally have settled on using the 3rd finger on the G and tucking the 4th right behind the 3rd on the B string for that transition. It is backwards from the way I do the rest of the strings, but works great for me.
Also, I avoid using a bridged finger on those strings by extending the pattern - every second string, I slide to the next note on the same string instead of staying in "the box". Seems to help prevent having to bridge with one finger laid across 2 strings. I'm looking forward to seeing how Cosmin does it! -------------------- The more I practice, the more I wish I had time to practice!
