Thank you Alex. I can feel it too. Many thanks for you good advices. JPB Hi! So I have a new solo added now it's your turn! http://soundcloud.com/alex-feather-akimov/jp-bluestring In my solo I tried to exaggerate A minor pentatonic (c natural) over A7 chord and would like you to do the same! Please use: Over E mi7 chord I want you to play E dorian mode Over A7 A minor blues pentatonic Over D major 7 A major arpeggio Use exact shapes I gave you! Let me know if you have any questions or need help! This post has been edited by Alex Feather: Jun 19 2012, 07:55 PM -------------------- |

Good morning Alex,
Here's my take for this week. This duo incorporating distorted and clean guitars is getting interesting. Of course, I'm still not there but I think your lead is giving me good paths. Liked the arpeggio in it. This is great. Listening to your style, I have yet to figure out how you achieve this loose but rhythmic style. I'd love to be able to get there eventually. Thanks so much for your time. I really appreciate your guidance. I feel privileged to jazz with you a little. JPB I hope you'll like it! http://soundcloud.com/jpbluestring/expression-6d |

I am having a lot of fun jamming with you as well! You did a very good job on the solo! But I would like to hear more arpeggios you played it a couple of times but it sounds like you are not too sure about it! I would like you to get more comfortable with it! Let's add another one! Over D major 7 chord you have choices: A major arpeggio D major 7 F# minor arpeggio Let me know if you have any questions or need help! -------------------- |

Hi Alex, Sorry for the delay. Not quite there I feel but it's improving I think. Thanks for your patience. JPB http://soundcloud.com/jpbluestring/expression-6e You did a great job! I love the melody and the tone! Everything sounded very very nice! I have a new challenge Now I would like you to play arpeggios only for the whole solo! This is a very hard exercise but it will help you to see the neck from a different perspective! Arpeggios I would like you to use: Dmaj7 - Emi7 - F#mi7 - Gmaj7 - A7 - Bmi7- C#mi7b5 Here are the shapes: D maj7 Emi7 F#mi7 Gmaj7 A7 Bmi7 C#mi7b5 Just use different combinations and try to turn them into licks! Here is my take http://soundcloud.com/alex-feather-akimov/jpbluestrings Let me know if you have questions or need help! -------------------- |

JPbluestring http://soundcloud.com/jpbluestring/expression-6f As I said you did a fantastic job! I actually would like to go into exercises for a little bit! I have a perfect that will help you develop a great picking technique and master modes! The reason why we are switching is very simple it's a very good way to learn and get progress faster! After this exercise we will continue our jam and you will feel and hear the difference! Here is the tab! E ||----------------------------------------------3----| Guitar Pro Scales_workout.gp5 ( 8.99K ) Number of downloads: 106 I would like you to start by getting use to those shapes and when you will be learning them try to call out notes it will help you to master the neck better! And here is a cool part of this exercise! I played a track and would like you to play along with me every day and you will se results very fast! http://soundcloud.com/alex-feather-akimov/modes-workout Let me know if you have any questions or need help! -------------------- |
