I say both,
but when comfort is in question then no doubt fender (body contour etc)
but sound wise gibson.
I mean if i would have waited i would sure got a fender with 2 humbuckers, but hey with technology now im sure i can get humbucking single coils, better then having something closer than nothing at all blink.gif rolleyes.gif tongue.gif

Well, If I have to choose from those two(Which would mean neither isn't a choice[ wink.gif Botox wink.gif uberibanez wink.gif ) I would definately go for Gibson, though I don't own neither, I would really wanna own a Gibson Les Paul.

quite amazingly ive never played either a fender or a gibson, but i have played copies of both and own a strat copy.

I wasnt so impressed with the Epiphone SG i played once upon a time, but am fairly happy with my cheap cheap strat copy im playing at the moment-

guess that puts me in the Fender boat too then smile.gif

+ i have a jackson which is ofcourse owned by fender wink.gif

Let's see.

Gibson Les Paul's are appaling and sound like a dying swan when played and look like a coffee table and weigh more than an elephant and Fender Stratocasters have such an empty sound. Here are the ones I like

Fender
Jaguar
Telecaster

Gibson
SG

Looks like Fender wins just. Even though I have an SG biggrin.gif

I love the sound of Gibson, but if I had to choose between the 2 I'd go for Fender just for playability.

Ibanez over both tongue.gif

Real men play les pauls WITH 50'S style necks. Telecasters are nice, not as, but still nice. A guitar needs some bulk to be a manly guitar. Ibanez, Jackson, Hello Kitty Strats, those are girlie man guitars.

Yes!

Gibson customer support is also awesome, even though I dont have a Gibson (Long story!) and just a decent Les Paul copy. tongue.gif

I also have a Telecaster that has taken much abuse, but its starting to fall to pieces now. sad.gif
