Surely this will generate a bit of traction smile.gif It's the timeless question.

WHAT GUITAR DO YOU WISH YOU HAD NOT SOLD?

The Ibby below was one of my dream guitars (Ben Storm has one as well) and like a fool sold it as well.

I must say though that I sold all this gear during a difficult time while my parents were in decline in terms of their health. I was trying to help in any way that I could so the money went for a good cause. Still, I can't help but miss these guitars just as I miss my parents. All now gone.

I added a few new ones, cheap ones, to my collection as it was a downer seeing it reduced to 2 guitars. Though I'm thankful I have any guitars at all. I see facebook posts from people begging for a guitar in distant parts of the world.

I'm pretty lucky that I have only sold a few guitars in my time, and don't miss any of them.
I've gone back and forth over the years thinking of selling my Burny LP but never went through with it and glad I didn't.

Thanks for the reply!

Ive owned about 80+ different guitars. I didin't realize it was that high until I looked at my picture archive. There they were. Almost all gone. Got down to 2 guitars after my folks passed before buying a few more recently. There are about a dozen ibbys in that pic that I shared. I honestly wish I'd never sold ANY of them.

I"m friends with a guy on facebook who has dozens of axes and he's in his 20s and a huge rack of gear. Makes me wish i could go back and keep all my rack kit and guitars. Live and learn smile.gif

Keep your guitars folks!! smile.gif

I can't think of any axe that I miss too much but there are few that I bought on a whim that ended up being more trouble than they were worth.
I do regret selling a particular amp though. A 1962 Gibson "Titan".

Sometimes I wish I had held on to a couple of guitars I had in the 90's. They were both early 90's axes. One was an MIJ (I think) Ibanez Rg 550 and the other was a Charvel San Dimas III with a burgundy wine trans finish. Both played really nice. I couldn't find a match for the Charvel but I did find a pic of the Rg.

But like Ken, the piece or pieces of gear I miss most are an amp and cab. In the late 80's I had a Sunn Colesium 300 bass head and a Mesa Boogie 2x15 cab. I played an Ibanez Roadstar bass thru it but I also ran it as a guitar rig. That rig was loud and punchy as hell!

I feel your pain smile.gif I've given up amps/cabs and rack fulls of efx over the years and it all seemed to make sense at the time. Lookin back I really wish I'd kept every single bit of gear I ever purchased. It was usually sold to get more gear. Still, it was not a great call. Wish I could snap my fingers and have it all back.

Actually did a video on this on TikTok a while back. I need to do a few more parts at some point. Here's the same video on Youtube.

I do have some regrets, most were done as Trade-ins against others. A couple of original 70's/80's Bernie Rico BC Rich's and a Bass, a couple of 70's Strats. Maybe some others that I can't think of right at the moment!

BTW Todd, I've found recently someone selling that same guitar on Reverb for €1000 if you are interested.

Sadly its' in France smile.gif But I appreciate you thinking about it me!! I had grabbed mine for just over $700 which was a steal. For some reason, i thought I could make a bit of money and find another for the same price wink.gif Nope.

I've also got 2 RGT42 guitars on my "get again" list. A white one with a maple neck and the flame maple. Both of which are visible in this shot along with a PGM30 which is on the same list.
