Let's share from our experience from giging what songs are well recieved at a pub gig. We'll assume there's an audience from 18 up to 65
I'll share a few: The Boxer - Tradiotional, good start to get people going Mary Hopkins The Tavern or if it's called Those were the days - everybody knows this one, even if they don't know the lysics they can nanananana just like in the boxer. Rolling Stones Jumping Jack Flash - Works every time Donna Summer Hot Stuff - haha... it's true. Lynyrd Skynyrd They call me the Breeze - Ladies will dance though I'm sure they don't know the original. Black Crowes Hard to handle - It rips! CCR Proud Mary - hmmm... easy to play but it's a tough one that takes energy, can easily get spoiled. Pink Floyd Brick in the wall - Did it once only, last gig, and it was great! If it works every time, I don't know. We tried that one from Greese also, Greased Lightning, it was popular but we only did it a couple of times. COuld be worth a shot. Please add more! From your own experience of pub gigs, no guessing of what should work. -------------------- My bands homepage
All time favourites: B. Streisand - Woman in Love, M. Hopkin - Those were the days, L. Richie - Hello |

I can imagine Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bad Moon Rising would be pretty awesome. And Fortunate Son.
